Maryland Shortland Scout Group meet in our purpose built hall at 327 Maryland Drive, Maryland NSW. We have the following sections:
- Joeys aged 5 - 8 years (must be attending school to register)
- Cubs aged 8 - 11 years
- Scouts aged 11 - 14 years
- Venturers aged 14 - 17 years.
Maryland Shortland Scouts can take part in an extraordinary variety of activities, from the more traditional scouting activities such as camping and bushcraft, through to the more adventurous activities such as abseiling, rafting, canoeing, canyoning, overnight hiking, rock climbing, sailing, snow activities and even flying. Included in our program are also opportunities for performing arts, leadership development, community service and environmental projects and much, much more.
Our group regularly has both youth members and leaders attending large-scale Region, State and Australian events such as Cuboree, State Rally and Australian Jamboree, as well as international events like World Jamboree.
